The year was dominated by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing impact this had on individuals, business and governments the world over. For PAGB and its members, this meant more than a change in the way that we conduct business day to day. Find out how we worked with Government and the regulator to support access to medicines as the pandemic began to bite.
Added to this, the repeated threat of ending the year without a trade deal with the EU and the impact that this would have on the life sciences sector, continued a sustained period of uncertainty for our industry.
Introducing the Annual Review, PAGB President Neil Lister and CEO, Michelle Riddalls said: “Thank you to each and every one of the PAGB team, our members and the many stakeholders with whom we worked so productively in 2020. We now have a unique opportunity, in the wake of COVID-19 and EU exit, to help shape the future not only of our industry but of self care as an integral part of the UK’s healthcare system.”
