About this guidance

PAGB’s Guideline: Food Information for Consumers Regulation and other Labelling Requirements for Food Supplements (updated January 2023) explains the requirements of relevant legislation that applies to food supplements labelling, and what you need to include when producing labelling for food supplements products.

It includes a table of mandatory labelling requirements, allergen labelling requirements, a labelling checklist and links to the relevant legislation.

The guideline was developed with PAGB’s Primary Authority at the time of publication, Cambridge and Peterborough.

This updated guideline reflects changes in regulation following EU exit and other guidance updates. For queries about food supplements labelling, contact foodsupplements@pagb.co.uk.
