Webinar on the Responsible Manufacturing Effluent Management Technical Guidance Document

width=AESGP, EFPIA and Medicines for Europe are hosting a webinar on the Responsible Manufacturing Effluent Management Technical Guidance Document (TGD).The TGD was released by the Inter Association Initiative Pharmaceuticals in the Environment Task Force in October 2020 and subsequently endorsed by the three participating association boards. The paper is intended as technical guidance for the pharmaceutical industry to help identify and mitigate the potential impacts of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in wastewater from manufacturing operations. The approaches it describes are intended as general guidelines for carrying out risk assessments in different exposure scenarios for APIs in manufacturing effluent and for implementing such programs. The webinar will provide insight into the background and key elements of the TGD, including case studies, to raise awareness about the risk-based and incremental approach in the guideline and ultimately help companies to implement these guidelines. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.Speakers: Andreas Häner (Roche), Sam Maynard (AstraZeneca) & Birgit Mertens (Johnson & Johnson). When: 18 February at 2.00 – 3.30pm (GMT)
