This week, HBW are landing two new podcast episodes for their Over The Counter series interviewing Michelle Riddalls OBE, CEO at PAGB.

Michelle joined HBW’s David Ridley to share all about PAGB’s plans to support National Self-Care Week (17th – 23rd November), which includes the publication of three blog posts authored by industry experts looking into how self-care is critical to the success of the three key health shifts that the Government are looking to deliver under the 10 Year Health Plan.

The first of these, published today, is a blog from Michelle on ‘Widening access to medicines through reclassification: the benefits for consumers, brands and the NHS‘. Michelle spoke with David in detail about one of the most important deliverables that will unlock change to help move from sickness to prevention – reclassification. In this episode they discuss the benefits not just to the NHS, but for consumers and brands as well, the valuable growth opportunities for the consumer healthcare sector, and how reclassification can give patients the opportunity to access more of the medicines they need without having to visit the GP.

A second episode will air tomorrow focused on digital self-care, the important deliverables from the 10 Year Health Plan and the role of trusted OTC brands to support this reform.
