PAGB is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager with a food supplement specialisation for a one-year maternity cover to join our Regulatory team.

Location: Hybrid – with 2 days in our offices in London, UK
Reports to: Director of Regulatory Affairs

Position Overview:
PAGB is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager with a food supplement specialisation for a one-year maternity cover to join our Regulatory team. This role will support the delivery of PAGB’s new strategy and advance the association’s objectives of shaping the regulatory framework for food supplements while providing support to PAGB member companies.
The position will be available from April 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, interpret, and evaluate new policy and legislation related to food
    supplements in the UK and EU, assisting PAGB members in navigating upcoming challenges.
  • Represent the food supplement industry to the UK Government and other key stakeholders. Attend meetings independently with relevant stakeholders, forging and maintaining relationships with PAGB members, government organisations, and other trade associations.
  • Manage relevant working groups, supporting PAGB’s work through effective coordination and leadership.
  • Stay informed on industry news and changes, conducting research, and
    communicating findings to provide direct support to PAGB members.
  • Create and update advice and guidance available through PAGB’s online
    resources and contribute to the association’s education initiatives for the food supplements industry.
  • Provide broad support across the product portfolio in the regulatory
    department, learning and understanding the wider regulations for all
    categories within PAGB, while maintaining specialisation in food supplements.
  • Provide day-to-day member support relating to food supplements, and to medicines, medical devices when necessary.
  • Participate in wider cross-functional PAGB projects, including ad hoc projects as they arise.
  • Manage your own day-to-day tasks, prioritising effectively, taking initiative, and finding solutions where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory framework for food supplements in the UK and EU. Additional knowledge of regulations for OTC medicines and self-care devices is advantageous.
  • Previous professional experience within the food supplements industry,
    particularly in regulatory affairs, with an understanding of product
    development and claims evaluation being an advantage.
  • Strong organisational, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to multitask and meet various deadlines through effective
    communication and time management.
  • Willingness to undertake a small amount of national and international travel.
